The Ultimate Tandem Electric Trike! (750W Power + Trailer Option)

The ultimate tandem e-trike that you can hook a trailer up to.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today I'm going to show you the EVRYjourney Tandem e-bike. One of the most unique tandems- actually, it's an e-trike, out there. All right. So this is the EVRYjourney 750-watt tandem e-trike. And you can also see here, you can hook a trailer up to it. This is a 750-watt rear-mounted motor tricycle for two. So the cool thing is that if you wanna get out and ride with a partner and maybe you guys don't wanna have to balance, now you have a tricycle version that has two wheels in the rear, and it's incredibly stable. So, 750 watts, 20 amp-hour battery. You've got 24 inch by three inch tires, slick tread, which grab the road nicely, but also roll really smoothly as well. Now these seats are both upgrades.

They come with our standard brown synthetic leather seat, but you can upgrade to the backrest version if you want more comfort on your ride as well. You have a twist throttle up here with hydraulic brakes. So you can get assistance while you pedal, or you can use the throttle and not pedal at all. Now, I have some other videos out there of us riding this that you can check out. I'll do a quick demonstration as well. You can get up to 50 miles of range on this, depends on how much pedaling you do, how much assistance you use, whether you use the throttle, what kind of terrain, and also the weight of the riders.

Max capacity is 500 pounds. If you're doing a lot of hills, you're gonna drain the battery quicker. If you use the throttle more often, you're also gonna drain the battery quicker. You've got the rear basket here, front basket here, and of course this hitch that I'll talk to you about in a second here as well. Front headlight that you can use if you're riding at night. You also have rear taillights that are connected to your brakes, so if you pull the brake, leather the tail brake lever, the taillights go on. You got your display right up here, and you have a quick release to adjust your handlebars so you can find the right position for you while you're pedaling. Now, this is if one person pedals, the other person in the back has to pedal as well. So it is connected. The way to get around that, if you want to take a break, is you can use the throttle and the pedals will not move, and you both can rest.

We do have this thin platform right here that the rear rider can get their feet on. One caveat is if you have a shoe size above about a nine, it's gonna be difficult to find a way to get your two feet on top of that there. So if you're both pedaling or if one is pedaling, the pedals are gonna move for the other one as well. All right, now let's make our way back here to the trailer. Now you can see it is angled down a little bit. We're going to be coming out with a trailer with the same tire size, but you can also hook up our trailers that are for our rickshaw and our simple glide fat tire. It does have a little lean to it, but you still can fit stuff in there. If you need double the cargo, you can also hook the trailer basket up to it. This is not conducive to an extra seat. In some of our setups, we do allow you to put the extra seat on, but you have the connection point back here to install a hitch. I have installed the hitch.

You can buy them at Lowe's for about $9, $10. We also sell them. And then from there, you can clamp down your extra cargo if you want it. Now, obviously this is a pretty long trike in general, right? So many of you may not wanna put the trailer on the back. I totally get it. But I'll do a quick demonstration in the parking lot here. I'm just gonna show you how easy it is even to ride with the trailer on the back. So let me go ahead and turn it on. Let me make sure there is a button back here that you have to turn your battery on. Okay, so we'll turn that on. And then let me raise my seat just a touch here as well. Okay. All right.

Okay, now I'll power on. So, as I said, I can pedal, or I can use the throttle, totally up to you. And actually, this seat angle is not perfectly adjusted for my liking. You can tilt it back a little bit, which will make it more comfortable for me. But you can see, even with the trailer on the back, how easy it is to turn and... Now again, riding a tandem in general is gonna take some getting used to, and then also riding a tricycle takes a little getting used to as well. Okay, I got the proper seat on now, so let me show you how we can turn. Now again, on any trike, you wanna take turns slow, right? But of course, when we've got an even longer trike like this one, you wanna take your time going around turns.

And again, I have the trailer on here just demonstrating how nimble it is. It stops really easily and accelerates easily. Actually, with this, it's even easier to ride when you have a passenger on the back because it evenly distributes the weight better, weighing the rear end down. makes for a better ride.
