How We Load and Unload Our 750W Fat Tire ETrike from Our Pickup Truck! Without Breaking a Sweat

Loading the Trike

We're going to get ready to load everything up into the back of the truck. I'm just getting it into the right position where we need it to get it ready for us to load up. So David's going to get the strap. We'll hook the strap to the back of the bike or the back of the trike. And that's what he'll use to kind of pull it up. I'm going to get off the trike. It's a little bit easier to load it without me sitting on it. So he'll get off the ramp, and then we'll pull the trike up. I'll be the one that's kind of guiding it just to make sure that it's headed up the ramp in the right direction. Does it go off?

Or the fader side. And once we get up here to the top of the ramp, the bike has to be lifted just a little bit to get over the very top of the ramp where the ramp sits on the tailgate. The bike is kind of low right there, so he'll just lift it over that and then like that there. And now he'll just kind of guide it into one side of the truck so that he can put his bike in, and we'll hold up the ramp and put the ramp in too. Turning the front tire on the track like this also makes it fit perfectly into the back of our truck. So that's it with loading the tri-park. We'll get the rest of his stuff loaded up, and we'll be headed home.

Unloading at Port Mansfield

Bikes out to Port Mansfield today, and we are going to ride around some out here. It's a nice little fishing town, pretty much, on the bay, and so we thought it'd be a nice place to bring the bikes out and ride. But we're going to show you how we unload the bikes. It's kind of backwards. We're unloading them first, and then we'll load them after we get finished bike riding out here. This is unstrapping everything now. So we've got this ramp that we bought that folds up that we can use to load our bikes and unload them.

And then it just hooks to the bottom of the rack there, just for extra security. Stays over there. Sorry. So one down. With my trike, we actually put a strap on the back end of it, on the frame, to help pull it up and to lower it down, just for extra security in holding it because it's so much heavier. Okay. All right. And that's it. We're down. Off the truck. Thank goodness I have my husband, who does most of the work.
