Ergonomic ETrikes EXPLAINED: Which Electric Trike Brands Actually Get It Right?

Which brands sell electric trikes with ergonomic seating options? Stick around to see it.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today we're going to answer the question, which e-trike brands sell e-trikes with ergonomic seating options? Hint, hint, sixthreezero does. Now, before we get into it, hit that subscribe button below. Stay in touch with us here at sixthreezero. Be the first to know about all the new content we're putting out, giveaways we're doing, and of course, new product releases.

All right, so right here, I've got two versions of our Simple Glide e-trike and Simple Glide Fat Tire. Both of these are linked in the description below. This is an e-trike we have in multiple variations that all come with this ergonomic seating option. Now, when we talk about ergonomic seating, there are a lot of options out there, right? And on most trikes, not these two, you can change your seat really easily.

Ergonomic Seating Features

So you can buy one of those smaller seats with the backrest, and you can get a pretty comfortable seat with some back support, but they're not going to be as ergonomic as these seats. At the Simple Glide, we are actually 100% focused on that. You have a nice padded cushion, just like an office chair, with an ergonomic backrest design and a lumbar support right here. So your back is sitting nice and upright. Your arms are relaxed, there's no tension, no leaning over. It's the ultimate comfort proposition. Now, also, we offer another seat that you can upgrade to that's even more cushy and provides that same ergonomic riding position.

So you have to think about your body, ergonomic can mean sitting upright, but the smaller back supports aren't going to give you the kind of support you're going to get with something like this. They're going to give you a little bit of support in the lower back. And, you know, you're going to have to still hold your arms up, right? In this case, you can actually put your arms on the armrests on this one as well to relax your body. And again, be in a really comfortable ergonomic position. So, talking about all the other e-trikes that exist out there.

Comparing ETrike Brands & Designs

Most of them are going to be designed for an upright riding position. However, they may not come with a seat with a backrest, but again, you could always buy a seat and add it on. At sixthreezero, we make a few seats with a backrest that can be installed on most of our other trikes that have a standard seat post. Again, this is a unique platform design that can only accommodate this style of seat with the correct bolts to match up underneath. So you can't just go out and buy any seat and install it on here.

But again, this is going to be a truly ergonomic position where your back is kept in the correct position. You're not straining. And even our other seat that can be added onto this one, you have the ability to recline it, figure out which position works best for you, right? Because it's not just being in an ergonomic position, it's being in a position that's best for your body. So you're not in pain while you're out riding.

Rider Comfort & Posture

So you feel comfortable getting out there doing 5, 10, 20 miles, right? I often hear that when we do test rides here, people sit down on here and they're like, wow, yeah, I could really sit here for 10 miles and it would be okay. I know that's a big, you know, that's a big thing for a lot of riders is they want to be able to sit there and feel like they can ride for several miles while being comfortable, right? And oftentimes it's not just the ergonomics of it, but it's also the size of the seat, right? Is the seat too small? Is it too narrow?

In this case, you have a nice platform seat. It's not digging into your tailbone, your sit bone. So you can be comfortable for hours, honestly. It's just like sitting in an office chair while you're pedaling. And because of the ergonomic design with the pedals a little bit out in front of your body, it's really comfortable, really easy to pedal. I haven't found anything else like these two on the market.

Get in Touch & Test Ride Options

But again, I'm a little bit biased, but I think it's true. We have a unique sitting position that's more ergonomic than most, if not all, e-trikes. So, any other comments or questions on the topic, please put them below or reach out to us at theteam@sixthreezero.mom or call us at 310-982-2877. Don't forget, both of these are linked in the description if you want to check them out. We also offer a 30-day test ride for your e-trike policy.

If you don't love it in the first 30 days, send it back. No questions asked, money out of your pocket. We're also going to warranty everything for a year. If anything goes wrong in the first year, we'll take care of it parts and labor. In addition to that, if you want to come out for a test ride, we're here in San Clemente, California, at 1046 Kairokoto Unit K.
