The best women's bicycle for 2024.
Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today I'm going to show you the best women's bicycle for 2024. All right. So right here in front of me, I've got the EvryJourney seven-speed women's bicycle from sixthreezero. You can call this a cruiser hybrid recreational women's bike. This is one of the best women's bicycles for a recreational rider. And I'm going to explain to you why now. I'm not a woman, but we've sold thousands of this EvryJourney model and we've got lots of reviews and lots of feedback. And there are a couple of key reasons why women, in particular, keep coming back to this bike as their around-town woman's bicycle. Now, a couple of things to point out.
Also, if you want to check it out. Now, the key feature of this women's bike is the forward pedaling design. So if you look down here, you'll notice, typically speaking, the pedals would fall right below the seat. In this case, the seat and the pedals are moved forward six inches from where they typically are. Now, what does this mean? Well, what it means is that the rider can have the seat lower to the ground, but when they get on, you're still going to get ample leg extension because you've got that six inches of moved pedals move forward. Now, this seat is too low for me. I'm simply demonstrating the benefit of the forward-pedaling design. So basically, lower center of gravity, lower seat. The seat is only 29 inches off the ground. That's the step over the height of the seat. This is 17 inches to step through the frame. But when you sit down, it's 29 inches. So, for shorter riders, right around five feet, you should have no problem. 4’11” riders might even be able to do it, depending on their inseam. Now, the benefit is that you can feel more stable by putting your feet flat on the ground. So when you stop, your feet can be flat, and you can feel like you have control of the bike. If you're higher up on your toes for a lot of other standard bikes, you may not feel as secure or balanced when you're stopping or starting. So again, low to the ground still get that leg extension when you're riding, very, very comfortable and safe design, which is why a lot of women love this.
Now in addition to that, there are some also other great features, how light it is, and it’s an aluminum frame, it's very very easy to lift up and down this features seven speeds so you have a seven-speed twist shifter up here So you've got one speed for your uphill, seven-speed for your flat ground when you're trying to achieve higher speeds. You've got front and rear handbrakes right here with the calipers. You've got a quick-release front wheel so you can easily take it on and off should you want to transport your bike somewhere, take it with you. You've also got a rear rack here. Now, I think one of the major differentiators of this bike is also the color palette. Now, It may seem minuscule in some elements, or it may seem minuscule to some people, but when you look at the landscape of women's bicycles and you look at the color palettes, not a lot of brands are getting very creative out there with the colorways. And I get it. You're selling lots and lots of bikes. You want to stick to the colorways that are traditional and that lots of people buy. Well, at sixthreezero, we've chosen to go with a more popular, color design, better colors, cooler appearance. And so right here, this is our navy, but it also comes in a cream and a teal as well and you can see the baby blue accent rims. Also, the leather seat and grips just provide a classy look that coupled with the forward pedaling, and low center of gravity design are two of the major reasons why women prefer Evryjourney.
At sixthreezero we've sold more than 15,000 of this particular model year in and year out. It's one of the best sellers. It's just a great around-the-town ride, affordable. And lastly, I didn't mention the ergonomic sitting position. So let me go ahead and raise the seat a little bit here. Okay. Now you can see, when I'm sitting, my back is upright and the pedals come in, or the sorry, the handlebars come into my body. So, my arms can be relaxed, but my back is still upright. My feet are flat on the ground, so you're not leaning forward. You don't have to hold your arms out like this. They come into you and your arms can be relaxed. My arms are bent and not overextending. None of my muscles are tight. It's just it's very comfortable and easy on your body. Makes bike riding just so fun and so enjoyable. And just, yeah, really, really easy to ride. So if you're looking for something that you want to be your neighborhood ride, your to-the-beach ride, your exercise ride, but you want comfort to be a part of that, the EVRYjourney is one of our top-rated women's comfort bikes.

What to Consider When Choosing a Women's Bike for Everyday Riding
The right bicycle should do more than look appealing in a showroom. After considering the comfort and riding characteristics discussed above, it is also worth looking at how the bicycle fits into your everyday routine. Small details involving sizing, control, visibility, and practicality can influence how enjoyable your rides become over time.
Choose a Frame Size That Matches You
A bicycle can feel very different depending on the rider's proportions, and getting this right goes beyond simply matching a height chart. Two people of the same height can have different inseams, torso lengths, and arm spans — all of which affect how a bike actually feels once you're on it rather than just standing next to it.
When comparing bicycles for females, it helps to try sitting on a few different models and noticing how naturally your body settles into position, rather than relying on a general size recommendation alone. A bike that fits your specific proportions will make everyday handling feel effortless instead of something you have to adjust to.
Check the Handlebar Reach
Beyond the general riding posture, it's worth paying close attention to the distance between you and the grips specifically. If reaching them requires stretching forward or pulling your shoulders in, that tension can build up over longer rides even if the bike felt fine for the first few minutes.
Try a few gentle turns and lane changes during a test ride rather than just riding in a straight line — this is often where an awkward reach becomes noticeable. Since handlebar position can vary between models even within similar bike categories, this is worth checking individually rather than assuming one setup will suit you the way another did.
Think About Steering and Handling
Different bicycles can have different handling characteristics. Some may feel more responsive when turning, while others can feel steadier during relaxed rides. For someone who mainly plans to cycle around the neighborhood, a predictable response can be more useful than an extremely quick steering feel.
If you have an opportunity to test a bicycle, try gentle turns and changes in direction rather than simply riding in a straight line. This gives you a better impression of how the bicycle behaves during ordinary trips.
Consider Visibility During Your Ride
Being able to remain aware of your surroundings is an important part of comfortable cycling. Consider how easily you can see ahead, check your surroundings, and remain aware of other road users.
Your riding environment should also influence your approach. If you expect to ride during lower-light conditions, look into appropriate visibility equipment and make sure you can be seen by others. These considerations are separate from the bicycle's basic design but can make a meaningful difference to your overall riding routine.
Think About What's Practical for Your Trips
Beyond the bike's built-in features, think about how your day-to-day errands and outings will actually shape what you need. A quick loop around the block asks very little of a bike, but a grocery run or a longer outing might mean rethinking what you bring along and how you'll manage it while riding.
It's worth walking through your typical week before buying — where you'll actually go, what you'll likely be bringing, and whether you'd rather plan around that now than work around it later. The goal is a setup that lets you focus on the ride itself, not on juggling what you're carrying.
Consider Your Typical Trip Length
Your expected trip length can help determine whether a particular bicycle makes sense for your lifestyle. Short neighborhood outings, regular errands, and longer recreational rides can place different demands on your overall setup.
Someone who plans frequent longer rides may want to spend more time testing the bicycle before purchasing. Pay attention to how it feels after you have been riding for a while rather than judging it only during the first few minutes.
Test More Than One Option
If possible, compare several bicycles before making a final choice. A bicycle that looks ideal on paper may not necessarily feel like the best match once you ride it.
Testing different models gives you an opportunity to compare steering, reach, overall control, and how naturally the bicycle fits your routine. This can be particularly useful when exploring bikes for women, because personal preferences can vary considerably between riders.
Think Beyond Appearance
Style can certainly be part of choosing a bicycle, but it should not be the only deciding factor. A bicycle is something you will interact with repeatedly, so practical compatibility matters just as much as visual appeal.
For riders searching for a women's bicycle, the best choice is one that fits the way they actually intend to ride. Consider your body proportions, typical destinations, riding environment, carrying needs, and personal preferences together. When those factors work well together, the bicycle becomes easier to integrate into everyday life and can encourage you to spend more time enjoying the ride.
