Can these EBike Rickshaws Fit a 6'4" Passenger? Which Rickshaw Has More Legroom?

We test how a 6'4" passenger, Jeff, fits on the back of our EBike Rickshaw, comparing the existing standard version and the new recumbent version, to determine which offers more legroom. Understanding the Two E-Bike Rickshaw Models. We offer two popular EBike rickshaws, both allowing you to bring passengers on the back: the standard version and the recumbent version.

The Recumbent Version

The recumbent model features a longer frame and a forward pedaling design, making it a lot more comfortable for the driver with a nice, comfy seat. It is also easier to mount and dismount, and slightly more stable due to being lower to the ground and stretched out.

The Standard Version

This is our existing, very popular standard version, which is also comfortable and stable. Passenger Legroom Comparison (Tested with a 6'4" Passenger)

Riders generally get more legroom on the recumbent version. Jeff (6'4") was able to comfortably fit his knees on the recumbent model.

• Recumbent Fit: The recumbent design is stretched out, making it more spacious for the passengers. While the driver's seat can move up or down, impacting passenger space, a 5'10" driver positioning the seat midway allows a lot more space for a 6'4" passenger.
• Standard Fit: The passenger seats on the standard model can only move up and down, not forward or backward.
• With Upgraded Backrest: Using the upgraded seat with a backrest reduces space, as the backrest is "well into his body".
• Without Backrest (Standard Seat): The standard seat without a backrest would stop right about the front of Jeff’s knee, and he still might not be able to get his knee behind the seat.

A passenger five feet ten and below is not expected to have this legroom issue on the standard version.

Jeff stated he was more comfortable on the recumbent model. The stretched-out frame of the recumbent version provides greater passenger spaciousness and is significantly more comfortable for the driver. Connect With Us
