Hi, I'm Diane. I am 64 years old, and I'm at Sixthreezero in San Clemente, and this is the Relaxed Body E-Trike. And if you've been following me, we've been talking about doing a one mile a day challenge on an e-bike. And so that's what I'm here to do with you. Right now, let me get on the bike so you can see. So easy to get on with the low step-through. You can see right here on the display. Here's my energy level. Here's my speed. Here's my pedal assist. And this shows that we are at mile 21. So our goal is to get to mile 22. Let's do it together. You ready? Let's go. Typically, I start out using a throttle, but I'm on a downhill right now, so no need for that.
Just do a quick traffic check. For these cars to park because, or to keep, to pass, rather. All right. And I'm using my throttle to get going because we are immediately going uphill, so. How have you guys been doing with the one mile challenge? I see some posts. Doesn't matter which video you post against. It could be mine. It could be anyone who's test riding a sixthreezero bike. Um, but we've been doing this for a little bit. I definitely can tell that my legs are getting stronger. I'm getting less fatigued, and I'm able to use a little bit of my own energy longer, which is awesome because I don't want to always rely on pedal assist. I am right now because this is a pretty steep hill.
That it's going well for you and that you're not too sore or tired to ride every day. Sometimes, I'll be honest, I might wake up and feel a little bit fatigued based on what I had going on, what kind of night's sleep I had, and what I ate the next day. And maybe I'll say, I don't know if I really feel like getting on the bike today, but I do it. And after I do it, I feel great. I hope you do too. Guy's gonna stop for me, and he is. Yeah, sometimes we need to push ourselves. I love getting out on the bike because it's fun. It gets me out of the house. I meet tons of people wherever I go. There was a period of time when I had an injury, and I couldn't get I couldn't ride the bike like I just had to stay off of it for a while.
You know, it's not fun just to sit on the sofa if you're able to get out and ride. And now that I'm able to get out and do that again, it's so much fun. I really missed it. I said a big pine cone. That's the beauty of being on an e-trike, right? So a mile a day really isn't that far. But if you haven't been riding, it's a lot to work up to. And then also considering the type of terrain that you're on. But again, by having pedal assist, by having the throttle, by being able to shift gears, if you get too tired or too fatigued and you need to take a little break, you can let the bike take over for a little bit.
No shame in that. It's all about taking a break. Being outdoors. Sidewalk ride for now. Something you have to remember when you're riding an e-trike is that the two back wheels do project out a little bit. That was a learning lesson for me. One time I cut being next to another bike too close, and it wasn't tragic, but just remember that, that it's not right behind you. So, one of the challenges, what did you feel as you got your mile in every day? Did you find yourself challenged? Did you find yourself having to push yourself to get out every day, or did you find it to be relatively easy? I'm curious to see what your adventure was about. Most days for me, I was looking forward to it. I like when my legs are a little bit fatigued the next day.
I like to feel that I've done something to help my body get stronger. I'm getting older. I've got to keep these muscles moving. So I don't want to fully rely on pedal assist all the time. I want to feel like I'm getting a little bit of a workout in, but you know, as it got to be day five, six, seven, maybe I did rely a little bit more on pedal assist that day. That's okay. I still made it out. I hope you did too. And there are other challenges we can do as well. You know, we can do a hill challenge. We can do it. I don't know. You guys, let me know what you want to do, too. We should be getting close to our mile.
And again, doesn't matter how long it takes you to get there. It doesn't matter how often you're using pedal assist, or what pedal assist level you're in. It's just all about time on the bike and getting that mile in. I dropped a little bit low for me because I didn't realize we were on an incline. So I'm just waiting for magic number 22 to know that I got that full mile in while I'm on with you guys. Your videos too. Do you find that you're getting the mile in a little bit quicker? Look. Look where we are. Right there, you guys. We did it. We got our mile in. I'm feeling good. I really am. I hope you're doing this challenge with me. If not, start now if you haven't been doing it. If you have been, continue. Make sure that you're posting about it. I want to know what you're doing as well.
Thank you so much for joining me on this daily challenge. Keep it up. Post. I'll post as well. And I hope you have a great day.
